SHOOTING INVESTIGATION
On July 17th, 2020 Darke County Deputies were dispatched to 102 East Main St., Union City, Ohio on a report of a man who had been shot at and struck with a baseball bat.
After speaking with the victim, deputies were informed the incident took place at 7295 South Stateline Road Union City, Ohio. The victim stated he went to 7295 South Stateline Road Union City, Ohio. The victim stated upon his arrival he was met by two individuals. The victim stated one of the individuals shot at him. Both individuals ordered the victim into the garage. The individual who shot at the victim picked up a baseball bat and struck the victim in his arm, which caused a broken bone. The victim was able to escape and drove himself to 102 East Main St. Union City, Ohio.
The two individuals arrested were 37-year-old Eric D. Holder for Felonious Assault and 28-year-old Richard A. Crowell for Tampering with Evidence.
