Road PatrolJob Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Diploma or GED Career Level: Entry How to Apply: In person or download application at www.darkecountysheriff.org Summary Under general direction, patrols designated area of the county to maintain order and enforce laws and ordinances; investigates complaints, accidents, crime reports, etc. and prepares reports; appears as witness in court when necessary; serves court orders; performs public relation activities; maintains personal and professional competence and awareness. Corrections OfficerJob Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Career Level: Entry How To Apply: In person or download application at www.darkecountysheriff.org Summary 12 hour shifts. Corrections Officers supervise inmates in a correctional setting; enforce applicable jail rules and regulations and the Ohio Revise Code, patrol buildings, yards and corridors to ensure the safety and security of the facility. 911 DispatcherJob Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Career Level: Entry How To Apply: In person or fill out the application on our website Summary 12 hour shifts. Dispatchers receive and prioritize emergency and non-emergency telephone calls from the public; dispatch appropriate emergency services agencies; monitor public safety personnel in the field; retrieve and enter computer data. Dispatchers work with multiple computer and phone systems and must be able to multi-task. Background in public safety (law, fire, EMS) is a plus, but not necessary.
