Summary
12 hour shifts. Dispatchers receive and prioritize emergency and non-emergency telephone calls from the public; dispatch appropriate emergency services agencies; monitor public safety personnel in the field; retrieve and enter computer data. Dispatchers work with multiple computer and phone systems and must be able to multi-task. Background in public safety (law, fire, EMS) is a plus, but not necessary.
Experience/Certification Required:
Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
United States citizen;
High School Diploma or equivalent
Meet physical, mental and training qualifications as set by the Sheriff
Valid Ohio Drivers License
Absence of a criminal record
On the job training provided.
