CRASH INVESTIGATION


On April 3, 2020 at approximately 6:19 A.M. Darke County Deputies along with Osgood Fire, Osgood Rescue, and Careflight were dispatched to the 14100 block of Willowdell Road in reference to a motorcycle accident with injury.



Preliminary investigation revealed a black 2017 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle driven by Robert Goubeaux ,61, of Versailles was traveling South on Willowdell Road in the 14100 block. Mr. Goubeaux struck the rear of a 2013 Bobcat Skid loader driven by Nicholas Dirksen ,35, of Yorkshire which was also traveling South on Willowdell Road. Mr. Goubeaux's motorcycle traveled off the left side of the roadway where he was ejected. Mr. Goubeaux was treated at the scene by Osgood Recuse and transported to Miami Valley Hospital by Careflight. Mr. Dirksen was uninjured. Mr. Goubeaux was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The Darke County Sheriff's Office reconstruction team was also called to the scene.



This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff's Office.
