CRASH INVESTIGATION


On March 24th, 2020 at 5:09a.m. Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Ansonia Rescue and Ansonia Fire Department responded to the 4100 block of White Coppess Road on a two vehicle, injury accident.


Preliminary investigation revealed that a 1998 Red Jeep Cherokee driven by, Jonah Keen (40), of Union City Indiana, was traveling east bound in the 4100 block of White Coppess Road. Mr. Keen traveled over the center line, side-swiping a west bound 1995 Mack Semi-tractor-trailer, driven by Daniel Allman (27), of Ansonia. Mr. Keen's vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, before over-correcting, Keen's vehicle traveled back across the roadway and overturned before coming to a rest on it's top. Mr. Keen was treated on scene by Ansonia Rescue before refusing transport. Mr. Allman refused treatment at the scene and was released. Mr. Keen was cited for Lanes of Travel.


This accident remains under investigation.
