On March 6, 2022 at approximately 2:27 AM Darke County Deputies a long with Osgood Fire and Rescue, Versailles Rescue, and Careflight Mobile Intensive Care Unit were dispatched to Mangen Road near Bulcher Road in reference to an accident with injury. Preliminary investigation revealed a silver 2011 Honda Odyssey, driven by a juvenile (17), of Versailles, was traveling northbound on Mangen Road, south of Bulcher Road. The juvenile drove off the roadway and struck a utility pole. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor resulting in the crash.
The juvenile was transported to the Miami Valley Hospital by the Mobile Intensive Care Unit for suspected serious injuries.
This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff's Office.
