CRASH INVESTIGATION

On March 5th 2022 at approximately 5:15 PM Darke County Deputies along with Ansonia Rescue, Ansonia Fire, and Careflight were dispatched to the 3800 block of State Route 47 in reference to a motorcycle accident with injury.

Preliminary investigation revealed a blue 2018 Harley Davidson Ultra driven by Raymond Buis, 34, of Muncie, Indiana was traveling West bound on State Route 47 near Detling Road. Mr. Buis failed to negotiate a curve traveling off the right side of the roadway and coming to rest in a ditch. Mr. Buis was ejected from the motorcycle. Ansonia Rescue treated Mr. Buis at the scene and he was transported to Miami Valley by Careflight. Mr. Buis was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Mr. Buis has been released from Miami Valley

This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff's Office.
