CRASH INVESTIGATION
On July 10, 2020 at approximately 7:45 a.m., Darke County Deputies along with Arcanum Fire and Rescue, New Madison Fire and Tri-Village Rescue along with CareFlight, responded to the intersection of US Route 127 and State Route 503 for a reported serious injury crash involving a semi and a passenger vehicle.
Preliminary investigation revealed Barbara Roser 82, of West Manchester, OH. was driving a 2020 silver Toyota Camry southbound on US Route 127 when she attempted to make a left turn onto State Route 503 in front of a black 2007 Kenworth tractor-trailer which was traveling northbound on US Route 127, driven by Brenton Bowman 27, of Eaton, OH. After impact, both vehicles traveled off the northeast corner of the roadway coming to rest in the tree line. Roser was transported to Miami Valley Hospital aboard CareFlight, and Bowman was treated and released at the scene. Ohio State Highway Patrol Motor Carrier Enforcement also assisted with the investigation.
This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff's Office.
