CRASH INVESTIGATION

On January 7, 2020 at 6:18 p.m. Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Arcanum Rescue and Arcanum Fire Department responded to the 3400 block of State Route 49 on an injury crash.


Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2014 Grey Nissan Pathfinder driven by Lisa Philips (51), of Greenville, was travelling southbound State Route 49. Ms. Philips was attempting to make a left hand turn into a business. A 2019 White Hyundai Kona driven by Gail Bolen (62), of Fayetteville, was also traveling southbound State Route 49. Ms. Bolen attempted to pass Ms. Philips vehicle. Ms. Philips struck Ms. Bolen as her vehicle was overtaking hers.


Ms. Philips was transported to Miami Valley North by Arcanum Rescue for her injuries.


This accident remains under investigation.
