Detectives investigate the more serious crimes in
our county. These crimes include but are not limited to, murder,
rape, burglaries, sexual assaults, kidnapping and arson. Most
often the crimes investigated are felonies in nature.
Darke county has 5 full time detectives assigned
to the Sheriff's Office. Major cases can involve many hours of
time and effort to bring them to a successful conclusion. The
experience and training of the detectives are a key element to
solving those cases.
